City Congress president Vikas Thakre exhorted party workers to work for the success of the rally.He said each block should gather over 1,300 workers. Ex-MP Vilas Muttemwar said with the changing political scenario, Congress could now easily displace the BJP government in the state next year.AICC in-charge of state Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leaders Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pande, Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Prithviraj Chavan, and Balasaheb Thorat are expected to join the yatra. Nagpur: The second leg of “jansampark yatra’ of Congress in Vidarbha’s will start from here on January 7 and return to the city on January 13 for a massive concluding rally.Most of the state has already been covered and now Nagpur division’s six districts and some remaining parts of Yavatmal district will be toured, said yatra’s convenor Ramkrishna Ojha on Wednesday.“Morale of the party workers is at its peak after Congress’ stupendous victory in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Clearly, the tide has turned in party’s favour now,” said Ojha, expecting a good turnout for the public meetings during the yatra.The yatra led by MPCC president Ashok Chavan will start after paying obeisance at Deekshabhoomi, Tajbagh and Tekdi Ganesh temple.The first public meeting will be at Saoner and after that, the yatra will proceed to Ramtek, Tiroda, Tumsar and have night halt at Gondia.On January 8 after a public meeting in the morning at Gondia, it will proceed to Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Wani, Warora and will be back in Nagpur by January 12 to cover the district.
