Nagpur: Sonegaon police arrested a man in the wee hours of Wednesday for allegedly sodomizing a 24-year-old mentally ill man on Tuesday night at a secluded place.The accused, identified as Nana alias Sachin (32), lives in the same area as the survivor. He has been booked for unnatural sex and threatening under Sections 377 and 506b of IPC.Police said the survivor, who is mentally ill since birth, was wandering in front of his house when Sachin approached him. The accused allegedly lured the survivor with going on a long drive on his bike.Thereafter, Sachin took the survivor to a secluded place in the shrubs near the airport, where he allegedly exploited him. Sachin also threatened the survivor of dire consequences if he told anyone about the incident.The accused then took the survivor back to their area. The depressed survivor went home and narrated the ordeal to his mother.The mother-son duo approached Sonegaon police station where an offence was registered against Sachin.Later, the cops took Sachin and the survivor for a medical check-up. Sachin was produced before the court, which sent him in police custody till January 18.
