Oxygen parks to be set up across state

Nagpur: Finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has decided to set up oxygen parks in all districts of the state. The concept is to plant trees at a range of 5 to 10 acres in barren land to reduce emissions.The limit set for developmental funds in Nagpur district is Rs235 crores. The funds for this project is around Rs22 lakhs. The project was first established in Wardha and it turned out to be successful. Expenditure plan which has been submitted shows Rs618 crores with an additional demand of Rs383 crores.The District Planning Committee shows the yearly budget: in 2018 to 2019 it was of Rs450 crores, in 2017-18 was of Rs400 crores, in 2016-17 was of Rs350 crores, in 2015-16 was of Rs300 crores, in 2014-15 was of Rs225 crores, 2013-14 was of Rs175 crores and in 2012-13 was of Rs160 crores.MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh has sought additional funds for Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) and received the green signal from the finance minister.The government has decided to help women self help groups to boost fabric carry bags or reusable bags in every district.
