Dhantoli cops book 17 persons, firms for cheating man of Rs 6 lakh, abetting his suicide

Nagpur: Dhantoli police have booked and searching for a group of 17 fictitious persons and firms for cheating a man to the tune of Rs 6 lakh on the pretext of providing him Rs 38 lakh loan from Reserve Bank of India. Shiriish was cheated as no RBI loan was provided to him nor his Rs 6 lakh returned. During investigation, cops found a suicide note in which he had blamed 17 persons and firms for his suicide. Dhantoli police constable has registered a case under Sections 306, 420, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the accused. Shirish was injured seriously and was taken to Neuron Hospital in Dhantoli but succumbed to injuries around 4 am during treatment.

The duped man later committed suicide by jumping from Gowari Flyover near Lokmat Square. A resident of Ganesh Pournima Apartment, Pande Layout, Khamla, Shirish Laxmanrao Moghe (51), in a bid to end his life, jumped from Gowari Flyover near Lokmat Square around 0030 hours on June 5, 2018. Shirish was injured seriously and was taken to Neuron Hospital in Dhantoli but succumbed to injuries around 4 am during treatment. At that time, Dhantoli police had registered a case of accidental death and launched a probe. During investigation, cops found a suicide note in which he had blamed 17 persons and firms for his suicide. According to the note, the accused Gaurav Sharma, Max Profit Solution, Mittal, P M Raj Grover, Singaniya, Soni, Tannu Madam, Vicky Khurana, Saranvat, Kakkar, Sidharth Agrawal, Smart Invest Solution, Ravi Rathod having Bank of Baroda account 40066010000703, Manik Khurana , Anil Kumar, and two others took Rs 6 lakh as commission from Shirish on the pretext of providing him Rs 38 lakh loan from RBI. Shiriish was cheated as no RBI loan was provided to him nor his Rs 6 lakh returned. Dejected by the cheating, Shirish committed suicide. Dhantoli police constable has registered a case under Sections 306, 420, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the accused.
