IOB organizes MSME support programme

Nagpur: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) organized a micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) support and outreach programme at regional office, Nagpur recently. PM Parlewar, director of the MSME Development Institute, Nagpur, was the chief guest.The sole objective of the initiative was to create awareness among IOB customers about the bank’s MSME support and outreach policy. At the programme, 25 sanctioned letters of Rs12.35 crore were handed over to the MSME beneficiaries from various sectors. Women entrepreneurs were also among the beneficiaries.Anand Bhaskar, senior manager of Indian Overseas Bank, was also present. One of the key highlights of the programme was to underline the importance of 'psbloanin59minutes.com' portal through which easy and quick loans can be availed by the small and micro enterprises.The role of the banking sector, especially IOB, in the development of MSME sector was also brought to fore during the programme.Parlewar threw light on the government’s schemes and benefits for the MSME sector.Senior regional manager, IOB, SS Narang welcomed the MSME units to come forward with their proposals.
