Booty worth Rs 9.95 lakh burgled from two houses in Wadi, Ganeshpeth

The burglar decamped with gold-silver jewellery and cash Rs 2 lakh collectively valued at Rs 3.60 lakh. Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants targeted to two houses in Wadi and Ganeshpeth areas and burgled gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 9.55 lakh when the owners had gone out of station. Once inside, the burglar laid his hand on gold ornament and cash Rs 5.80 lakh kept in steel almirah in bedroom. Taking advantage of locked house, unidentified burglar(s) gained entry into his house by breaking open lock of main door between 12.30 pm of Saturday and 7.50 am of Sunday. The miscreant burgled booty collectively valued at Rs 5.95 lakh.

In the first incident, the victim house owner Sachin Yuvraj Meshram (38), resident of Ramji Ambedkar Square, Control Wadi, along with family had gone to Gadchiroli for some programme or work. Taking advantage of locked house, unidentified burglar(s) gained entry into his house by breaking open lock of main door between 12.30 pm of Saturday and 7.50 am of Sunday. Once inside, the burglar laid his hand on gold ornament and cash Rs 5.80 lakh kept in steel almirah in bedroom. The miscreant burgled booty collectively valued at Rs 5.95 lakh. Wadi police constable Ramkrishna Khode, absed on Sachin Meshram’s complaint, registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and searching for the burglar(s). Similarly, a resident of Bajeria, behind Nageshwar Mandir, Dr Natasha Dnyaneshwar Shukla along with family had gone to Allahabad for attending a marriage. During the same time between 6 pm of Sunday and 11.30 am of Monday, an unidentified goon smashed latch of main door and gained entry into Dr Natasha Shukla’s house. The burglar decamped with gold-silver jewellery and cash Rs 2 lakh collectively valued at Rs 3.60 lakh. Ganeshpeth PSI R Z Nannaware, based on a complaint lodged by Hariprasad Satyanarayan Sharma (57), resident of Bhajimandi, booked the unidentified burglar under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and launched a search to nab him.
