‘Gunguna Rahe Hain...’ delights music enthusiasts

NAGPUR: A musical evening titled ‘Gunguna Rahe Hain Bhavre’ stroked the lyrical notes in every music lover even as many a memorable performance left the audience in awe of classical Hindi songs at Scientific Society Hall, Laxmi Nagar, on Thursday.Organized by ‘Swar Malhar’, the programme presented an eclectic mix of Hindi songs, cutting across various genres. They managed to make a mark in the hearts of the audience with their beautiful rendition of the songs they performed. The evening started off by paying tributes to brave soldiers who lost their life in the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir .

Shailaja Bade, who anchored the programme, presented patriotic song ‘Aye mere watan ke logo’ in her beautiful voice.Soon after, singer Purva Salpekar presented ‘Aur iss dil mein kya hai’ that received rave reviews from the audience. Several more performances followed among which the ones which stood out was by Rupali Dusroy. She sang the hit song ‘Mere dholna’ that was appreciated by all. ‘Arey deewano mujhe pehchano’ by Gagan Puri also resonated very well with everyone.The singers at the programme included Manisha Tiwari, Rupali Dusroy, Gagan Puri, Paresh Durve, Hemant Darvhekar, Archana Thakare, Uma Raghuram, Hemangi Dharmadhikari and Purva Salpekar. They managed to make a mark in the hearts of the audience with their beautiful rendition of the songs they performed. The ones which stood out the most were ‘Pyar do pyar lo’, ‘Jhumka gira re’, ‘Koi mil gaya’, ‘Kai din se mujhe’, ‘Ye ladka haye Allah’, ‘Mere dholna’ and ‘Purvaiya leke chali main’.Most of the super hit songs presented at the show have been originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik, RD Burman, Mukesh, Mohammad Rafi and Suresh Wadkar. Bade anchored the show and praised every singer and all those associated with the programme for their hard work in making the event successful.
