Nominations filed for civic panel pollsRespective corporators nominated by ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday submitted their nominations for the post of Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons of subject committees of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). Harish Dikondawar submitted nomination papers for the post of Chairperson of the Elimination of Slums and Housing while Rutika Masram would be Deputy Chairperson. Divya Dhurde was nominated for the post of Women and Child Welfare Committee Chairperson and Archana Pathak for Deputy Chairperson. Sandeep Gawai submitted nomination papers for the post of Chairperson Water Supply Committee and Sarla Nayak for the post of Deputy Chairman. Deepak Chaudhari has been nominated for the post of Fire and Electricity Committee Chairperson and Kishor Wankhede as Deputy Chairperson.

The formal election is scheduled for March 1. Since only one set of nomination was received for each of the post the election is going to be unanimous. Rajendra Sonkusare submitted his nomination papers for the post of Chairperson and Nishant Gandhi for Deputy Chairperson of Architecture and Projects Committee Mahesh (Sanjay) Mahajan for the post of Chairman of the Medical Services and Health Special Committee while Vikram Gwalbanshi for the post of Deputy Chairman; Adv. Meenakshi Telgote and Vanita Dandekar as Chairperson and Dy. Chairperson for Legal and General Administration Committee. For Chairperson of Education Committee Dilip Dive is repeated but Sumedha Deshpande is going to new Deputy Chairperson. Pramod Tabhane is nominated as Chairperson of Sports Committee while Lakhan Yerawar would be Deputy Chairperson. Divya Dhurde was nominated for the post of Women and Child Welfare Committee Chairperson and Archana Pathak for Deputy Chairperson. Sandeep Gawai submitted nomination papers for the post of Chairperson Water Supply Committee and Sarla Nayak for the post of Deputy Chairman. Mahendra Prasad Dhanvijay is again nominated for the post of Chairperson of the Special Committee on Taxation and Tax Collection while Sunil Agrawal submitted paper for the post of Deputy Chairperson. Deepak Chaudhari has been nominated for the post of Fire and Electricity Committee Chairperson and Kishor Wankhede as Deputy Chairperson. Dr Ranjana Lade Secretary NMC accepted the nomination papers. The election process is going to be conducted by District Collector Ravindra Thakare.
