Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B told 'The Hitavada' that civic authority is contemplating to reach such homes and administer the vaccine to those senior citizens. There was heavy rush of senior citizens at the centres fixed by NMC. Heart failure with hospital admission in the past year. Post Cardiac Transplant/Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD). Significant left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVAD<40%). Moderate or severe valvular heart disease. Congenital heart disease with severe PAH or Idiopathic PAH. Coronary Artery Disease with past CABG/PTCA/MI and Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment. Angina and Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment. CT/MRI documented stroke and Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment. Pulmonary artery Hypertension and Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment. Diabetes (>10 years or with complications) and Hypertension on treatment. Kidney/Liver/Hematopoietic stem cell transplant: Recipient/On wait-list End-stage kidney disease on haemodialysis/CAPD. Current prolonged use of oral corticosteroids/immunosuppressant medications. Decompensated cirrhosis. Severe respiratory disease with hospitalisations in the last two years/FEV 1<50% Lymphoma/Leukaemia/Myeloma. Diagnosis of any solid cancer on or after July 1 2020 or currently on any cancer therapy. Sichle Cell Disease/Bone Marrow failure/Aplastic Anemia/Thalassemia Major. There are several senior citizens with co-morbidities who cannot walk upto the centre to take COVID-19 vaccine. Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B told The Hitavada that civic authority is contemplating to reach such homes and administer the vaccine to those senior citizens. Radhakrishnan B said “The provision of vaccination at homes to co-morbid senior citizens is there. But initially we are trying to streamline the process of running vaccination drive at centres outside. We will soon start the facility at homes.” Meanwhile unlike on first day Tuesday witnessed a smooth vaccination drive. There was heavy rush of senior citizens at the centres fixed by NMC. Considering the rush finally the civic body has decided to rope in the services of private hospitals. Five such hospitals were listed where people can go and get themselves administered the vaccine. Token system from today Considering the confusion and chaos being witnessed at the centres during vaccination NMC has decided to apply token system from Wednesday. When people go to the centre during registration they would get a token. People will carry the token and have to come again the next day. They will get vaccine as per their numbers. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B have appealed people not to be in hurry as it is not emergency. Vaccine is necessary but crowding would create problems for others added Mayor. Satija suggests to give vaccine at old-aged homes Narendra Satija noted Social Worker has suggested administration to give vaccine to senior citizens living at old aged homes. Satija said that there are several people even of 45 years of age who have serious ailments. They cant walk. Several such people are staying at old age homes. Administration should go there and administer vaccines to them added Satija. Registration process n Self-registration - Registration are set to open at 9 am on March 1 at COWIN 2.0 portal. n On-site registration - People can walk into the identified Covid-19 vaccination sites and get themselves registered on-site. n Facilitated cohort registration - The State/UT Government will take a proactive lead. Where can you get vaccine shot? n Nearly 10000 private hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY. n Over 600 hospitals under CGHS. n Other private hospitals under State Governments. Documents required Aadhaar Card; Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC); Photo ID card specified at the time of registration in case of online registration; and Certificate of co-morbidity for citizens in the age group of 45 years to 59 years. Cost of vaccination n Free at the government facilities and paid at private facilities. n Centre has capped the price of Covid vaccines at private hospitals at Rs 250 per shot. Rly 5 pvt hospitals to give vaccine Radhakrishnan B informed that Central Government has allowed five private hospitals plus the Divisional Railway Hospital to administer vaccine dose to people. The private hospitals will charge Rs 250 but at Railway Hospital it would be free for citizens in 60 plus age group and for frontline workers. The hospitals are Lata Mangeshkar Hospital Sitabuldi; Mogre Hospital Sakkardara Square; Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Cancer Hospital; Gilllurkar Hospital Sakkardara; Sengupta Hospital Ravi Nagar.
