Controller of the Patent Office of the Government of India has announced about the granting of patent to Dr Pramod Yeole. Vice-Chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole did his research along with his students Dr Arti V Belgamwar and Dr Shagufta A Khan. Dr Pramod Yeole has already filed five patents. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole was congratulated by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Sham Shirsath former Vice Chancellor Dr Praveen Vakte Registrar Dr Jayshree Suryavanshi.

BAMU V-C Dr Pramod Yeole gets patent on AIDS drugs Principal Correspondent : Dr Yeole has already filed five patents Dr Pramod Yeole Vice-Chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) added another feather to his cap when he received a patent regarding a medicine to be used to treat AIDS. This is second consecutive year that Dr Yeole received the patent. Intellectual Property of India has granted the patent to Dr Yeole for his research in Pharmacology. The research will be used in medicine used to treat AIDS. Dr Yeole who hails from Nagpur was instrumental in streamlining the examinations in Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University when he was Pro-Vice-Chancellor. In fact Chancellor office had endorsed his model of examinations and asked other universities to take a leaf out of his book. Dr Yeole has first brought examination reforms in RTMNU. RTMNU under his leadership became first to introduce changes in Phd award procedure. RTMNU started conducting two Phd Entrance Tests (PET) that helped to bring quality in research. Controller of the Patent Office of the Government of India has announced about the granting of patent to Dr Pramod Yeole. Dr Yeole had sent a proposal in that regard on September 7 2015. The proposal on a pharmacological research entitled Synthesis of Chitasan Graft HPBCD Copolymer by One Pot Synthesis Technique for Solubility Enhancement of Operation was submitted with patent office. It was approved by the Patent Office on February 24 2021. Vice-Chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole did his research along with his students Dr Arti V Belgamwar and Dr Shagufta A Khan. Rights of this patent will be for twenty years. This research will be important to increase the solubility of this drug. Patent for second year in a row Dr Pramod Yeole was granted first patent on March 11 2020 by the Patent Controller of Intellectual Property India. His research project was based on Process for Preparation of Internal Efficacy Nanoparticles for CNS Targeting in Neuro AIDS. The patent filed on December 7 2016 got approval last year. Like second patent the first patent too will stay valid for twenty years. Dr Pramod Yeole has already filed five patents. He has been working as Vice-Chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University since July 16 2019. In the last one and a half years he has achieved several things at individual level. He received APTIs Lifetime Achievement Award he was nominated by President of India as Member on the Management Council of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University Wardha. He is also working on a subcommittee constituted regarding New Education Policy. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole was congratulated by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Sham Shirsath former Vice Chancellor Dr Praveen Vakte Registrar Dr Jayshree Suryavanshi. IPR to be strengthened It is a matter of great pleasure that Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar received the patent for the second time after Dr Yeole took charge of the post of Vice-Chancellor of Marathwada University. There is a great deal of research and perseverance among the researchers and professors in Marathwada. According to Dr Yeole Intellectual Property Cell (IPR) need to be further strengthened to bring quality in research work of university.
