Staff Reporter ; As the accused went absconding cops nabbed him from neighbouring Madhya Pradesh Sakkardara police raided a goons house and seized six sharp-edged weapons. As the goon was absconding the cops sent a team to Madhya Pradesh and arrested him. The goon Maruti Gajanan Kothekar (52) a resident of Plot No. 110/2 Raghuji Nagar near Binzani college was nabbed by Sakkardara police team from Mohkheda police station area of neighbouring Madhya Pradesh. Earlier acting on a tip-off the police raided house of Kothekar on Saturday and seized various sharp-edged weapons from his house. Police registered a case under provisions of the Arms Act against Kothekar. Later the cops produced Kothekar in the court and obtained his police custody remand. Under the guidance of DCP Zone IV Dr Akshay Shinde and ACP Hemanand Nalawade the arrest was made by Sr PI Satyawan Mane PI Chandrakant Yadav APIs Sagar Awhad Raju Bastawade PSI Pravin Dhade and staff including Nitin Raut Hemant Uikey Vidyadhar Pawanikar Sunil Belsare Kavita Ogare and others.
