Teenage girl kills stepfather Staff Reporter : The deceased was booked under molestation charges after the girl had lodged a complaint against him in 2015 A stepfather who served four years in jail after being convicted of molestation was killed by a teenage girl at her house in the Hingna Police Station area on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Dhnyaneshwar Gatkar (60) a resident of Seloo town in Wardha district. According to police the 17-year-old girl lives with her mother at Sawali village near Hingna. Her father passed away when she was just one-year-old. Since then her mother has been working as a housemaid. The girl is studying in Standard XI. Gatkar was in a relationship with her mother and used to stay at their house in Sawali. He was booked under molestation charges after the girl had lodged a complaint against him in 2015. He was convicted for the same and released from the jail in February. In April he visited the girls place and created a scene over some issues. On Monday he again came to the house and started abusing her mother. When he pulled hairs of the girls mother she got angered and picked a wooden rod. She hit on his head and face with full force. Gatkar collapsed on the ground in the pool of blood. He was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Addl CP Dilip Zalke DCP (Zone I) Vivek Masal and WPI Sapna Kshirsagar visited the spot and inspected the crime scene. An offence under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Hingna police. Further investigation is on.
