The accused have managed to circulate fake currency of Rs two lakh in the market so far a top rank police official said. Fake currency notes of Rs 100 denominations were also seized by the police. The official further said that Kadbe learnt the currency printing technique after seeing tutorials on YouTube.

The accused manage to circulate fake currency of Rs 2 lakh in market before they were nabbed UNIT No. 2 of the Crime Branch arrested two persons for allegedly printing fake Indian currency after seeing some tutorials onYouTube. The accused have managed to circulate fake currency of Rs two lakh in the market so far a top rank police official said. The accused have been identified as Nilesh Raju Kadbe (24) a resident of Samta Nagar and Maruf Khan alias Rafique Khan (24) a resident of Taj Nagar Teka. According to police Kadbe is a notorious thief and offences are registered against him at Gittikhadan and Rana Pratap Nagar police stations. Acting on a tip-off the police raided his rented accommodation at Plot No. 11 in Ekta Nagar Mankapur on Saturday. The police have seized a computer two printers including a high-quality printer during the raid. Fake currency notes of Rs 100 denominations were also seized by the police. Some of them were half printed the police said. The official further said that Kadbe learnt the currency printing technique after seeing tutorials on YouTube. He then took a house on rent and also purchased the printer worth Rs 30000 for the same. He was circulating the currency after ordering food liquor electronic gadgets through on-line portals including Olx. “He was keeping the fake notes between the genuine notes in the purse and giving it to the delivery boys” the official said. He was printing only notes of Rs 100 and Rs 50 denominations as circulating Rs 500 notes in the market is risky. The accused were printing notes that look exactly like genuine notes. Only a knowledgeable person can tell the difference between real and fake by examining closely the official said. According to information 8 gsm paper is used for printing of currency but the accused were using 7.5 gsm paper. An offence under Sections 489 (a) (c) (d) and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused. The arrest was made by Sr Police Inspector Kishore Parvate API Sumit Parateki PSI Sandip Kale Laxmichhaya Tambuskar Mohekar Balram Jhadokar ASI Rajesh Thakur Mohan Shahu and staff including Santosh Madankar Ramnaresh Yadav Rajesh Tiwari Anil Patil Ravi Shahu Satish Pandey Sunil Kunwar Sheshrao RautYogesh Gupta Shyam Gorle Ashish Patil Suraj Bhongade Kamlesh Gehlot and Pravin Jadhav.
