CP suspends SI three cops

The suspended cops have been identified as Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Shrinivas Darade constables Manish Bhonsale Rajkumar Pal and Prasanjit Jambhulkar. Darade and Bhonsale Pal and Jambhulkar had intercepted a four-wheeler transporting food grains last month. The driver told them that he was transporting the food grains at the behest of the fair price shop owner. The four cops then 'summoned' the shopkeeper and allegedly threatened to implicate him for blackmarketing food grains. As the four cops were found guilty Kumar suspended them.

CP suspends SI three cops COMMISSIONER of Police Amitesh Kumar on Monday placed a Sub-Inspector and three other cops attached to Yashodhara Nagar Police Station under suspension for allegedly seeking favours from a fair price shop owner by threatening to implicate him in a false case. The suspended cops have been identified as Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Shrinivas Darade constables Manish Bhonsale Rajkumar Pal and Prasanjit Jambhulkar. PSI Darade was attached to DB Squad. Darade and Bhonsale Pal and Jambhulkar had intercepted a four-wheeler transporting food grains last month. The driver told them that he was transporting the food grains at the behest of the fair price shop owner. The four cops then summoned the shopkeeper and allegedly threatened to implicate him for blackmarketing food grains. After threatening to impound the vehicle they allegedly extracted money from him. Similarly Darade and others had also allegedly bashed up a young man unnecessarily. Taking serious cognisance of the incidents City Police Chief Kumar had ordered an inquiry into the matter. As the four cops were found guilty Kumar suspended them.
