As per the Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur city received 4.9 mm rainfall till 8.30 pm. However as the city received heavy showers after that the next data for rainfall would come at 11.30 pm. Apart from Nagpur city it rained heavily at Narkhed Bhiwapur Kalmeshwar Hingna Umred and other places in the district. The possibility of heavy rainfall over Amravati and Nagpur districts was sounded.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted generally cloudy sky with moderate rain in the city till June 15. There was sunshine during day time. However by the evening clouds dominated the sky. As the night progressed the atmosphere became pleasant. And finally it rained. As is the case every year low-lying areas of the city saw waterlogging. Even at some places where road level is not even water got accumulated. As per the Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur city received 4.9 mm rainfall till 8.30 pm. However as the city received heavy showers after that the next data for rainfall would come at 11.30 pm. Apart from Nagpur city it rained heavily at Narkhed Bhiwapur Kalmeshwar Hingna Umred and other places in the district. Around 10 pm the RMC issued Nowcast warning with validity of three hours regarding thunderstorm with lightning gusty winds with speed reaching 30-40 kmph. The possibility of heavy rainfall over Amravati and Nagpur districts was sounded. Light to moderate rainfall was likely to occur at a few places over Bhandara and Wardha and at isolated places over Akola Chandrapur and Yavatmal. Meanwhile rainfall brought down the maximum as well as minimum temperatures in Nagpur. The maximum temperature on Friday was 31.1 degrees Celsius which was eight degrees below normal. Similarly the minimum temperature was 22.1 degrees Celsius which was five degrees below normal. As per the data under the head of Rainfall Activity on IMD Nagpurs website six districts of Vidarbha received above average rainfall between June 1 and June 11. Akola district was still 10 per cent deficient in average rainfall. The district-wise rainfall in percentage terms as compared to average was as follows for other districts in Vidarbha: Gadchiroli -- 39 per cent Buldhana -- 53 per cent Gondia -- 85 per cent and Bhandara -- 90 per cent Nagpur -- 121 per cent Chandrapur -- 126 per cent Wardha -- 146 per cent Amravati -- 177 per cent Yavatmal -- 207 per cent and Washim -- 281 per cent.
