Higher and Technical Education Minister to tour Vidarbha sans university visit Principal Correspondent : The Vidarbha tour of Maharashtras Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant is beginning on Sunday. Surprisingly his tour doesnt include visit to any university or any review meeting about examination or academics except a brief round of Gondwana varsity. Samants tour is starting from Sunday wherein he would be attending a function of felicitation of Covid warriors on the occasion of birthday of Aditya Thackeray Minister (environment). This function would be held at NIT hall at Bagadganj. The function is arranged by youth sena leaders Hitesh Yadav and Dheeraj Fandi. On Monday Samant would go to Warora district Chandrapur and attend a function organised to donate ventilators. The ventilators are acquired after Aditya Thackerays initiative. Six more such programmes where ventilators are being dedicated would be held at Chandrapur Gondia Bhandara Nagpur. Considering the prevailing pandemic situation where students are one of the major sufferers examinations conducted on-line and other issues connected to higher and technical education. How the admission would be conducted. This is the time Samant would have planned his visit so that he could have reviewed the situation at every university of this region. Attending programme which have connection of Aditya Thackeray is not at all bad as he is Samants Party leader. At the same time Samant could have given equal importance to university visits taking stock of problems at technical education department. Since Government has cancelled the 12th examination the people institute and students are still confused about the admission process. Samant planned his Vidarbha tour to attend the programmes organised relating to them with Aditya Thackeray. He could have planned visits to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Gondwana university Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth. He could have discussed the issues likely to be faced by the universities in the eventuality of third wave of COVID-19. He is visiting Gondwana varsity which he always likes to. There he is expected to review the situation. But that visit is of half an hour. In his tour there is hardly any place for his department. Samant will leave for Mumbai on the night of June 15.
