Revenue Assistant caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 55000 Staff Reporter : A Revenue Assistant and another person were arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 55000/- by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at Tehsil Office Saoner on Monday. The accused have been identified as Revenue Assistant Rajendra Jivan Ubale (52) a resident of Ramna Maroti Chowk and his helper Subham Subhash Sabale (23). According to ACB the complainant is a farmer and lives at Baba Farid Nagar in Nagpur. He owns agricultural land at Kawdas village in Saoner tehsil. He had submitted an application for non-agriculture (NA) certificate for a part of the land. When the complainant approached Ubales helper Sabale to inquire about the status of the application he allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 60000/-. The complainant then approached Anti-Corruption Bureaus Nagpur office and lodged a complaint. The ACB team verified the demand and laid a trap. When Sabale accepted the bribe on behalf of Ubale at his office the ACB team immediately arrested both. A case under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act was registered by ACB at Saoner Police Atation against the accused. Under the guidance of SP Rashmi Nandedkar Addl SP Milind Totre the arrest was made by DySP Sandip Jagtap and staff including Pravin Padole Mangesh Kalambe Pankaj Ghodke Anil Bahire Harish Ganjare Dipali Bhagat Sadanand Sirsat and others.
