MVA messed up OBC reservation issue alleges Ashish Shelar Coming heavily on Congress for messing up the OBC reservation issue Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashish Shelar alleged “Congress State President Nana Patole Vijay Wadettiwar and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal should be held responsible for canceling the OBC reservation in the local body. Shelar who is on a tour of Vidarbha made the allegations while addressing mediapersons on Friday. Shelar said that during the BJP rule an ordinance was issued to implement reservation for OBC category in local bodies. However during the period of Mahavikas Aghadi this ordinance was deliberately ignored and it was repealed. Shelar also pointed out that petitioners Vikas Gawli and Ramesh Dongre who challenged the OBC reservation in court belonged to the Congress. Ramesh Dongre a former Congress Zilla Parishad president while Vikas Gawli is the son of former MLA of Washim.” Shelar addressed Patole Bhujbal and Wadettiwar as Raju Shyam and Babubhai from the movie Heraferi. He also said that there was a difference in the speeches and actions of the three leaders. The Government then wasted no time in court. He alleged that petitioners Vikas Gawli and Ramesh Dongre had frequent meetings with Congress leaders in the case. Also the imperial data of OBCs is not the subject of the central government but the states have to collect that data. Shelar alleged that Vijay Vadettiwar was spreading wrong rumors with regard to Swaraj this regard. Replying to the querry regarding clash between BJP workers and Shiv Sainiks that took place in front of Shiv Sena Bhavan in Mumbai Shelar said “Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had invited the struggling Shiv Sainiks to meet him. Chief Ministers Office wants to distance itself from partisan politics. However in the last one and a half years ordinary Shiv Sainiks did not have access to the Chief Ministers residence.
