Nagpur: City MP and Union roads, transport minister Nitin Gadkari's 61st birthday is on May 27 and local BJP workers and social organizations have begun celebrating it already in a novel style by holding special cancer detection camps for women.A total of 61 health camps mainly to detect breast cancer are to be held throughout the city till the birthday of the BJP leader. City BJP president Sudhakar Kohale said the 'Janani Sehat Abhiyan' under joint aegis of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' cell of the party and Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Institute if Medical Sciences and Human Resource was launched on March 31 as a build-up for Gadkari's birthday.It was already conducted 22 camps. One such camp was led at Dr Kirtida Ahmera naturopathy clinic in Ramdaspeth couple of days ago where 110 women were examined and given free consultation. Kohale said needy patients requiring further treatment would be provided professional and financial assistance.Convener of the Beti Bachao cell Manisha Kahsikar are being helped by women corporators and members of BJP's Mahila Aghadi in the novel venture, said Kohale. Gadkari himself has for past several years done significant work in providing help to poor patients for cardiac aliments.
