Nagpur: Nitin Kamble, resident of Saoner, a controversial figure has been interferring the sand ghat cases. Kamble is alleged to have misbehaved and beaten the Sarpanch of Tembhurdoha Vinod Naskol as he felt the latter was proving a hurdle. According to the report, illegal transportation and overloading of sand was being done on canal’s bridge area at Khekaranala project in Tembhurdoha. On coming to know about this the Assistant Engineer of Irrigation Department, Saoner sent a show cause notice to Nitin Kamble, Manager of Malegaon, Sausar, Chhindwara sand ghats. Since the reply to this notice was not given in the time limit, the Irrigation Department took a decision to stop the transportation by erecting poles. The department also started the work and at that time Kamble reached there. He tried to throw weight by mentioning his connections with bigwig. Kamble first abused Sarpanch Vinod Naskoland then allegedly beat him up. Soon after the incident the Sarpanch reached Khapa police station to lodge his complaint but the police here were hesitant to register his complaint. Till filing of this report the complaint was not registered. Kamble is also said to have complained to his protector MLA against Gulab Baba stating that latter on his own had give sand worth Rs 40 lakh on credit and the amount was not being collected. He asked the MLA to direct Gulab Baba to collect the amount immediately. He also struck a deal with that the MLA could keep Rs 15 lakh and he be given Rs 25 lakh. The MLA called for Gulab Baba and rebuked him and directed him to collect the money of sand immediately. The MLA was clever enough to get his portion of money but did press for Kamble’s share. The MLA had also given the charge of Patangsaongi’s toll booth’s charge to Gulab Baba. The MLA was informed about the malpractices here also. He immediately removed Gulab Baba from there. According to Kamble’s supporter the MLA appears to be very close to persons who financially benefit him but once the work is over they are thrown away.
