Rural cops arrest four for breaking into Central Bank

Nashik: The rural police have arrested four people engaged in breaking into the Central Bank of India, Sinnar branch on September 28, last year.“We have been tracing the burglars, who broke into the Central Bank of India, Sinnar branch, but were unable to lay their hands on cash and valuables as the siren went off on time. After we were certain of his engagement in stealing vehicles, we picked him up,” another police officer from the rural department said.He revealed the other names to be Arjun Dhotre (23), a resident of Idgah Maidan, Sinnar now staying at Shramik Nagar, Jail Road and Karan Ghuge also a resident of Sinnar. They all admitted to breaking into the Central Bank of India in September 2017 and were arrested by the police.All the three also divulged their roles in stealing of motorcycles in Sinnar and Ozar as well and selling them to the people.The police recovered four vehicles valued at Rs 1.28 lakh and all the accused have been remanded in police custody till Thursday. The police searching the history sheeters studied the patterns of the people engaged in the crime and zeroed in on Swapnil Gosavi, (19), a resident of Sinnar, who was currently residing in Ozar village.“After we learnt about Gosavi, we put our informers behind him and gathered intelligence about his movements. We were able to trace them in Ozhar from the list of history sheeters,” police inspector Ashok Karpe, of the local crime branch, said.Sinnar police had booked the accused under Section 457 — lurking house trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment — and other sections of IPC.The offenders were on the run since then.
