Max temperature rises above normal

The all-time record for the highest maximum temperature in Nashik is in the month of February, that is 38 degrees on February 28, 1967.The IMD forecasts suggest no change in the temperature pattern for the next three days. “Hence, maximum temperature will continue its rising trend, but this increase would be marginal,” said Mankar.According to the past records, the temperature crossed the 35-degree mark in the last week of February, mostly after the 25th, in Nashik.

Today, it was at 33.6 degrees celsius in the city, which is sharp two degrees above normal,” said R B Mankar, a senior official from the local weather observatory.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), north Madhya Maharashtra has been affected by dry and warm winds due to the localized heat. “Hence, maximum temperature will continue its rising trend, but this increase would be marginal,” said Mankar.According to the past records, the temperature crossed the 35-degree mark in the last week of February, mostly after the 25th, in Nashik.
