The traffic in both directions is being managed in the other side.During a review meeting, the MSRTC was asked to shift its buses from the CBS-Ashok Stambh route and run them via Canada Corner, Old Gangapur Naka, Chopada Lawns and Ramwadi to reach Nimani. “It would mean running 4km instead of less than 1km. It would affect the 1,018 buses plying on the route. Also, the commuters would shift to autorickshaws,” officials said. The MSRTC has also proposed opening of one-way road for city buses from Sangli Bank Corner (Red Cross Signal) to Ravivar Karanja. “This route has ‘no entry’ in this direction for any vehicle.
