It has been decided in the meeting that the valuation and results of all engineering students will be done as per the 2015 pattern. To bring uniformity in it, the SPPU itself decided that all students will appear in the examination as per the 2015 format. Now, if all of them have followed the uniform pattern at the time of examination, they must get the result in uniform manner as well,” said Amit Patil, SPPU Senate Member from Nashik. Nashik: The examination department of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Saturday accepting the demand of the third year engineering students to declare their results as per the 2015 pattern.“The academic committee of the university held a meeting on Saturday. It has been decided in the meeting that the valuation and results of all engineering students will be done as per the 2015 pattern. Earlier, the valuation and result of the candidates, who followed the patterns of 2008 and 2012, were declared in ‘percentage’ format while candidates following 2015 pattern would get the results in terms of ‘’semester grade point average’ (SGPA),” reads the official circular issued by the SPPU.It further said that the valuation will be done as per the 2015 pattern, but the mark lists will reflect the percentage too.Students from Nashik had raised this issue on July 13 as soon as the university had declared results of the third year engineering. According to the students, the university had declared the results of students following 2008 and 2012 syllabus pattern in traditional ‘percentage format’ instead of the latest ‘Semester Grade Point Average’ (SGPA) system despite the examination was conducted as per the latest 2015 format.Due to this, students who failed in more than 3 subjects could not avail the benefit of Allowed To Keep Term (ATKT), which meant that they had to lose their year.“You can find students following different syllabus patterns like 2008, 2012, and 2015 studying in one class. This is a technical issue.
