Nashikites throng hillsides to make most of rainy Sunday

The road heading towards Trimbakeshwar saw frequent jams as the citizens started visiting the place in four-wheelers since early morning. Nashik: The monsoon season has filled the ponds and smaller water bodies in Nashik and nearby locations like Trimbakeshwar and Pahine. The locations such as Brahmagiri Hills, Kasara Ghat, Ghoti, Igatpuri, Bhandardara, and Dugarwadi were also crowded as Nashikites left on long drives to enjoy the rain. The waterfalls in the Brahmagiri hills have become active and the hills are beaming with natural beauty.On Sunday, many Nashikites made the most of the rainy season and went out to visit the popular spots in and around the city.Someshwar falls on Gangapur road was a special attraction where hundreds of Nashikites thronged to enjoy the rain. Traffic was moving slowly as rains continued to lash the hilly areas on Sunday.Javar Ghat, on Trimbakeshwar-Pahine road, being one of the most preferred long drive destinations of Nashikites during rain, also saw hundreds of visitors.The lush green hills with clouds moving across the peaks was mesmerising,” says a visitor.
