Nashik: Students in state schools will soon get lessons on tension-free study and stress management from experts. The state education department permitted Lonavala-based Manashakti Research Centre, a nationally acclaimed organisation, to approach students in secondary and higher secondary schools and run flagship projects like ‘Tension-Free Study Success Series’, ‘Stress-management ahead of examinations’, and ‘Memory boosting skills’ for free.A senior official from the education office told TOI that Manashakti has its office in Nashik, from where activities in city schools will be monitored. Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (Vidya Pradhikaran) will, on behalf of the state government, keep a record of events and their outcomes. The Nashik office of Manashakti is near Ganeshbaba Mandir on Nashik-Pune Road.Meanwhile, some city schools received circulars regarding events to be organised on behalf of this research centre in the next academic session.“We have been told that Manashakti Research Centre will conduct free events on stress management in schools. They will contact headmasters of concerned schools and seek permission. Schools can opt to conduct these events. They also are at liberty to not conduct these,” one principal of a government school said.Manashakti Research Centre released information stating that it conducted one-day workshops on efficient studying and stress management.The centre also conducts career guidance programmes, educational trips, medical camps and training for students in tribal areas.
