Panzra Pol Trust urged to provide land for ind estate

Nashik: The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the district industries department have requested the Panzra Pol Trust to allow the former to acquire 800 acres of the trust land to establish a new industrial estate. The MIDC will soon submit a proposal to this effect to the trust.The 1,300-acre truct land is located near the Ambad industrial estate. They wanted government to take back the land and give it for industrial purpose.At a meeting of the industries department officials, representatives of the trust and industrialists took place on Tuesday, the trust representatives said the land belonged to the trust and it was private land. They also said that they have land procurement agreement also.“We will check whether the land belongs to the government or the trust. There are 1,000 cattle and 1,300 acres of land.

Industrial associations had claimed that the land had been given by the state government for cow gazing 30-40 years ago, but the object is not being fulfilled. They wanted government to take back the land and give it for industrial purpose.At a meeting of the industries department officials, representatives of the trust and industrialists took place on Tuesday, the trust representatives said the land belonged to the trust and it was private land. They also said that they have land procurement agreement also.“We will check whether the land belongs to the government or the trust. There are 1,000 cattle and 1,300 acres of land. Actually they do not need so much land. Around 800 acres near the Ambad MIDC can be used for industries,” government officials said.“We are ready to give the trust adequate compensation or land in exchange to the land that we would like to acquire,” a government official said.The MIDC officials and delegates from Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association, Ambad Industries & Manufacturers’ Association and Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture have also participated in the meeting.In May, MIDC CEO Sanjay Sethi had promised that his department would look into the issue.
