(done)Nashik: A delegation of local BJP leaders rushed to Mumbai on Tuesday to meet guardian minister Girish Mahajan and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to resolve the issues related to city bus service and Greenfield development.The proposals on the two projects, which will be tabled at the general body meeting on Wednesday, are likely to be modified as corporators have reservations about it.On Monday, BJP corporators and MLAs locked horns over civic chief Tukaram Mundhe’s style of functioning and the bus service docket prepared by him. They said the mandatory transport committee was excluded from the docket. When they met Mahajan with the issue on Tuesday, he asked them to meet the chief minister.MLA Balasaheb Sanap, mayor Ranjana Bhansi, deputy mayor Prathamesh Gite, standing committee chairperson Himgauri Aher-Adke, group leader Sambhaji Moruskar and leader of the house Dinkar Patil met Mahajan. The CM asked us to take a decision in the interest of the city and farmers. Wherever there is no opposition, the project can be done,” added Sanap.Box –Opposition to decide after fresh proposal is presentedThe opposition leaders said they would decide on the city bus service proposal after it is presented in the general body meeting on Wednesday with corrections in the technical part.Leader of opposition Ajay Boraste said, “We have always opposed bus service. The PCMC, Kalyan-Dombivali, Thane, Mumbai municipal corporations are all facing losses from bus service.”He said, after a meeting of opposition leaders, that citizens are anyway facing tax hike and wondered as to how can the NMC start a bus service under such circumstances.“The MSRTC is managing 120 buses and incurring losses.
