Nashik anganwadis to be resurveyed as protest continue

As per the state government’s resolution, the strength of anganwadis should not be less than 25. Municipal commissioner Tukaram Mundhe closed 40 anganwadis in the city as their strength was less than 25. Also, 53 anganwadis were merged with anganwadis under Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).“We will ask the administration to conduct a fresh survey to check on the number of students once again as many corporators said that some anganwadis in their wards had sufficient students. After the fresh survey we will decide how many can be re-started,” said Mayor Ranjana Bhansi.Meanwhile, the civic administration has also prepared a proposal to repair the existing anganwadis and provide the necessary infrastructure to the students and employees.
