Since the power remains unutilized from metered connections, it is a loss to the company and the expenditure for the repairs of the transformer is even bigger loss,” the official added.Meanwhile, the MSEDCL has also started recovery from farmers who have outstanding bills to pay.

Those who have arrears of up to Rs 25,000 will have to pay Rs 3,000 and those with outstanding of more than that will have to pay Rs 5,000 to ensure that the power supply is not snapped.“The company had provided several chances to farmers to pay their bills under the Krishi Sanjeevani Yojana (KSY).
