NASHIK: Nashik Cyclists Foundation met chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on October 5, demanding that a cycle track be established instead of a bus route on South canal Kalwa They met Fadnavis when he was in the city for a review meeting at the revenue commissioner 's office.There is a proposal for a bus route for the city bus service to be implemented soon by Nashik Municipal Corporation , on Southcanal of Kalwa. For this purpose, huge number of trees will have to be cut. Hence, cyclists are demanding that a cycle track be developed instead of a bus route.President of Nashik Cyclists Foundation and its members presented a letter in this regard to Fadnavis.The NMC developed a jogging track by the South canal of Kalwa. There is a proposal for making a special road here for the city bus service for which thousands of trees will have to be cut."We met the chief minister and gave the memorandum for developing cycle track. He was very positive about it and appreciated the activities by cyclists. He assured that guardian minister Girish Mahajan would look into the matter of establishing cycle track," said president of NCF, Pravin Khabiya.
