The city has been experiencing above normal day time temperature for the past 10 days or more and there is no relief in sight at least for the next few days.The weathermen said the maximum temperature in Nashik will be above 33 degrees celsius till Saturday, which is two degrees above normal. As a result, afternoons would continue to be uncomfortable. However, some relief would be seen during night when the temperature will fall below 20 degrees celsius."Nashik starts experiencing winter-like cold during the second week of October. The IMD has forecast mainly clear sky and temperatures between 17 and 34 degrees celsius up to October 22," said R B Mankar, senior official at the weather observatory here.Private weather forecaster Skymet said a trough is likely to form over central Maharashtra and adjoining Konkan and Goa around October 18. "Due to this, scattered rain and thundershower activities may occur in some parts of central Maharashtra but we do not expect any rain over north Maharashtra and Mumbai," says the skymet notification."Also, an anti-cyclone, which is responsible for the present weather condition in the region, would persist over Gujarat and adjoining region of southwest Madhya Pradesh . Due to this, dry and warm easterly and northeasterly winds would continue to blow over Maharashtra, including Mumbai.
