Burglars steal goods worth Rs 4 lakh in 2 days

One more woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 30,000 in Panchavati. Nashik: Burglars decamped with cash and gold worth over Rs 3.50 lakh in separate cases of house break-ins and thefts that took place on Thursday and Friday. Mahendra Ahire of Nashik Road stated in his complaint that his kiosk on Shastri Path in Nashik was broken into and goods including readymade garments and plastic articles, all worth Rs 67,000 kept in two bags was stolen.Meanwhile, jewellery worth Rs 90,000 was stolen from a house in Mhasrool area. An officer from Panchavati police station said that Suman Bodke of Sinnar was boarding a bus at the Nimani bus stand on Friday at 3pm when an unidentified person took advantage of the rush and stole the gold chain worn by her.Further, a shop was burgled in the Nashik Road area on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Tanaji Pekhle of Swami Park society, who lodged a complaint with the police, said that an unidentified person managed to open the window of his bedroom sometime between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 6.30am on Thursday and stole the jewellery kept for ‘Laxmi Pooja’ in his house.Meanwhile, a 29-year-old woman Priyanka Wagh, resident of Happy Home Colony, said that her gold chain worth Rs 10,000 was snatched by an unidentified thief on Friday afternoon.Wagh was walking near Tulsi Eye Hospital at 3.25pm on Friday, when the robber came on a bike and snatched the gold chain she was wearing.
