GST commissionerate sets up help desk for MSMEs

Returns under eight labour laws and 10 regulations will now be filed only once in a year. Nashik: The GST commissionerate has set up a special help desk at its Nashik headquarters to guide MSMEs to get advantage of the initiatives announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently.The commissionerate has also appointed nodal officers to facilitate entrepreneurs from steel furniture and food processing sectors.Modi recently launched an outreach programme for the MSME sector and unveiled 12 key initiatives which will help the growth, expansion and facilitation of MSMEs.The Union government has identified seven cities in Maharashtra to provide benefits to MSMEs. “The help desk will resolve the problems in a time-bound manner.”Moreover, nodal officers have been appointed at Nashik and Dhule offices to facilitate the MSMEs.Under this initiative, the government would provide loan up to Rs 1 crore in just 59 minutes and 2% interest subvention for GST-registered units, besides making it mandatory for public sector companies to get 25% of procurement from MSMEs.
