Fadnavis, Uddhav to address NDA leaders tomorrow

Nashik: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray would address a select group of about 1,600 BJP and Sena leaders from eight Lok Sabha seats of North Maharashtra at Chopda Lawns here on Sunday.The event is part of the NDA’s efforts to strengthen the bond among the leaders of the two allies in Ahmednagar, Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandubar districts.Fadnavis and Thackeray are slated to have five such meetings across the state.During a joint meeting of the district leaders of both parties on Friday, a 15-member committee, headed by district guardian minister Girish Mahajan was formed to organise the event.“The NDA candidates of the eight Lok Sabha seats, ministers hailing from the region, and senior leaders, MLAs, mayors and zilla parishad presidents would be attending the deliberations,” the NDA leaders said.The elected members of civic bodies would not be a part of the meeting.In Friday’s meeting it was decided that leaders and workers of both parties would work in unity to win the Nashik and Dindori seats.
