Nashik: A 50-year-old farmer from Sinnar, Shivaji Avahad, and two of his relatives, Vasant Avahad and Bablu Kute, were arrested following the alleged murder of the formers son.The police said Vasant and Bablu allegedly choked Shivajis 30-year-old son Rahul to death at the instance of his father, who paid them Rs 70,000. They have been remanded in five-day police custody.Rahul was found dead on the premises of a closed industrial unit in the Paste village of Sinnar at 11am on Wednesday. Initially, it appeared that Rahul had died of excessive alcohol consumption. However, the postmortem report revealed death due to choking. The police checked Rahuls call detail report (CDR) and found that before his death, he had spoken to his father on Tuesday. The police then checked Shivajis CDR and found that he had spoken to Vasant just after his call with Rahul.Inspector Rajendra Kute of the Sinnar police station said: Apart from the CDR reports, our investigating team found out that Rahul was a heavy drinker and used to quarrel with his parents and neighbours. On Monday, he had beaten up a woman residing in the neighbourhood, and when his parents intervened, he had beaten them too.The police called Shivaji for inquiry, and the farmer confessed that his sons behaviour pained him, and he had told Vasant to punish Rahul. He agreed to pay Rs 1 lakh to Vasant and Bablu for the same and paid Rs 70,000 as advance. On Tuesday evening, after a word with Shivaji, Vasant, accompanied by Bablu, took Rahul to the closed factory and got him to drink alcohol. They choked him and poured some poisonous substance into his mouth to make it look like a suicide. However, since Rahul was already dead, the poison was not ingested, said the inspector. We also published the following articles recentlyBigg Boss Telugu 7: Shobha Shetty alleges Shivaji for his biased game in the Bigg Boss HouseIn the latest episode of Bigg Boss Telugu season 7, Amardeep and Gautam emerged as winners of the Smile Please Challenge.
