Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation asked to submit status report

NASHIK: The district administration has directed the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to submit a detailed report about the operational and vacant plots in its the Satpur and Ambad industrial estates. What will we present at the 'Make in Nashik' event next month? Moreover, most of the plots are vacant. The administration also stressed the need for the MIDC to maintain transparency in allocation of plots.District collector Radhakrishan B issued the directives on Wednesday at a meeting of the Zilla Udyog Mitra.Industry delegates complained that most of the industrial plots have been occupied by investors who have built structures not meant for industrial operations. In Sayane (Malegaon) 87 hectres have been acquired and in Yeola, 109 hectares have been acquired, he said.The collector asked the MIDC to display notice for allotment of plots at the offices of NIMA and Ambad Industries & Manufacturers' Associations so that the associations will convey the message to all its members.

They also alleged that the MIDC was showing partisan attitude in plot allotment.The collector asked the MIDC officials to submit a status reports of all industrial plots, industrial units, operational and non-operational and sick units during the next meeting, and also asked to maintain transparency in industrial plot allotment process.He also asked the MIDC to speed up work to boost infrastructure for new industrial areas at Dindori, Malegaon and Yeola and start the process of plot allotment.Harishankar Banerjee, president of the Nashik Industries & Manufacturers' Association, "The infrastructure development work is going on at a snail's pace at the additional industrial estate at Talegaon-Akrale in Dindori tehsil. What will we present at the 'Make in Nashik' event next month?"Banerjee also stressed the need to start allotment of plots at Talegaon-Akrale soon.The collector said land has been acquired at some places and that he will hold talks with the MIDC CEO for allotment of land where acquisition has been done.The MIDC regional officer Hemnagi Patil said the agency has acquired 396 hectares of land at three locations in the district.In Dindori, of the 372 hectares proposed, 200 hectares have been acquired. In Sayane (Malegaon) 87 hectres have been acquired and in Yeola, 109 hectares have been acquired, he said.The collector asked the MIDC to display notice for allotment of plots at the offices of NIMA and Ambad Industries & Manufacturers' Associations so that the associations will convey the message to all its members.
