MUHS nod to over 100 centres across state to run courses

This initiative received good response from private hospitals and medical institutes.MUHS authorities, on Monday, published the course-wise intake capacity and eligibility criteria for admission to fellowship or certificate courses for academic year 2017-18.

NASHIK: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has approved 92 hospitals in medical, 9 in dental, 13 in Ayurveda, and one institute each in physiotherapy and occupational therapy across the state as recognised training centres for conducting fellowship certificate courses for academic year 2017-18.This means medical graduate and postgraduate students will have an opportunity to learn a range of modern health practices in popular private and government research institutes across the state. The online application process for these fellowship courses has also begun on MUHS website Six hospitals from Aurangabad, seven from Nagpur, 14 from Nashik, 25 from Pune and 40 from Mumbai, including Navi Mumbai, have received app roval in the first provisional list. The detailed time schedule and guidelines regarding admission process to these courses will be published soon. Students may apply online and fill in their preferences for fellowships.The health university had invited applications from modern hospitals, research institutes and existing medical colleges in February this year to introduce fellowships or certification courses on a specific specialised practice they undertake in respective institu tes.
