"The Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) Rajendra Jagtap said that bus routes were re-routed during the past few months. The problem is number of buses from Camp and back have been slashed. Girnare bus that runs via Makhmalabad has also been started so that students from these villages can get easy access to the city," Jagtap said. Residents of Sayyed Pimpri as well as Saikheda will get access to Adgaon Naka, Dwarka and CBS buses. There is a high density of passengers en-route to Ambad as you have CIDCO on the way, but buses are barely available.

Nashik: The city bus depot registered a profit of Rs 8.21 lakh, after city operations of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) were in the red for the past decade.Citizens and MSRTC drivers have called for the re-launch of a few services that were closed down.Bus operations have been drastically reduced by MSRTC, bringing down the number of buses operating daily from 265 to 155.The MSRTC meticulously picked routes with load factor of less than 45 to get rid of loss making routes and then re-routed these buses."I have to travel to BYK College from Deolali Camp. The problem is number of buses from Camp and back have been slashed. On both ways I am unable to find seat and at times when there are some classes or lectures, I have to break my journey," Rakesh Singh, resident of Deoali Camp, said.Since the number of buses have been slashed, it is difficult for passengers— especially senior citizens and women access safe modes of transportation.Rajani Kurhade, a resident of Pathardi Phata said, "Ours is the worst affected route. There is a high density of passengers en-route to Ambad as you have CIDCO on the way, but buses are barely available."A driver, on condition of anonymity, said, "There is a huge demand for Satpur buses. The people who live there can't afford personal transport or even autorickshaws. Why doesn't the administration add a few more buses on that route?"The Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) Rajendra Jagtap said that bus routes were re-routed during the past few months. The action has been undertaken taking into consideration the needs of the transport service."We are cutting down on routes by laying new ones. We have now started the Saikheda bus that runs via Sayyed Pimpri. Residents of Sayyed Pimpri as well as Saikheda will get access to Adgaon Naka, Dwarka and CBS buses. Frequency of the bus is 20 minutes. Girnare bus that runs via Makhmalabad has also been started so that students from these villages can get easy access to the city," Jagtap said.
