Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC)'s auction of stalls for Navratri festival on Saturday afternoon went wrong when Deepak Doke, one of the bidders, increased the bid from Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh which BJP corporator, Mukesh Shahane, and his supporters opposed saying that the bid was too high for nine days of the festivities.The following commotions led to heated arguments between the two sides. Doke was allegedly manhandled by Shahane. Doke was later admitted at the Civil Hospital. He was dissuaded from lodging a complaint with police. Doke is associated with Republican Party of India (RPI)."He wanted to gain publicity by blaming a BJP corporator and the deputy mayor Prathamesh Gite. Apart from arguments nothing happened. I have no role in it. The NMC's CCTV footage can be seen by anyone. It does not have anything as alleged. We were all at the place of auction.
