GREATER NOIDA: A day after four cars got burnt in a parking lot of the Auto EXPO , much of the dry grass and hay strewn on the lot could be seen present on Saturday too.Heaps of the grass could be seen lying at a side of the parking lot in the afternoon.Most of the visitors were unhappy with the dust in the parking lot and expressed concerns over the presence of the grass after yesterday's incident.Only one big-sized fire tender could be seen parked in the lot and visitors said that it might be difficult for the same to enter the narrow lanes of the parking lot where the cars had been parked.Visitors also said that while announcements were being made from the loudspeakers inside the Auto EXPO for collection of the parking slip, no slip was handed over to them, making it difficult for them to spot their car."We heard about Friday's incident when four cars parked here caught fire, possibly due to the dry grass strewn in the lot catching fire. It is of course very dangerous. It is still present," said Kunal Singh , a visitor from Noida's Sector 62.Himanshu Kumar , who had come from Akshardham in Delhi said that it took him 15 minutes to spot his car. "Of course, it is not a good option to have dry grass strewn around in the parking lot. Moreover, we have to search our cars, there is no specific segregation for the parking sections," he said.Many visitors complained about the dust covering the lot."Look at the dust. There is no water being sprinkled inside the lot and there is one only sprinkler working on the path," Swati Verma who had come from Ghaziabad told TOI.Varun Sinha who came from Delhi said that the car-burning incident on Friday was a scary one and organisers should have taken care of the facilities at least after the incident.He pointed out that there was only one fire extinguisher on the ground which was huge. "It is not sure whether it will be able to drive into the narrow lanes of the lot in case of a mishappening," he told TOI.Vishnu Mathur, director General, director general of the SIAM- one of the organisers of the Auto EXPO told TOI that bulldozers have been run over the parking lot on Friday to remove the dry grass.
