This is the fourth time I have performed in Noida, and I must say, yahan ki audience itni encouraging aur engaging hai ki ek-do dialogue toh main bhool hi gayi. "The group performed a second play as well, titled, 'How To Be A Casanova', another Chekhov adaptation of the short story, ' The Seduction '. During the preparation, I felt that main Social Sciences ke exam ki tayari kar raha hun. The play was performed by members of Actor Unveiled in a mall in Noida's Sector 18. This was the story of Radha Sharma, a soft-spoken and diligent bank manager, in the play 'Woh Phir Aayegi' , an adaption of ' A Defenceless Creature ', by Anton Chekhov .

Imagine the worst headache you have ever had, and then having to go to work the next day, despite the exhaustion. You hope for a peaceful day at work, but instead, a loud, irrational "abla nari" comes barging in and starts discussing a petition, which is totally unrelated to your department. This was the story of Radha Sharma, a soft-spoken and diligent bank manager, in the play 'Woh Phir Aayegi' , an adaption of ' A Defenceless Creature ', by Anton Chekhov . The play was performed by members of Actor Unveiled in a mall in Noida's Sector 18. Gunjan Shukla, who played Radha, says, "What I liked about my role was that it offered a great variation. From being a sophisticated bank employee, I turn into a completely mad person towards the end because of this 'abla nari' showing up at my bank and holding a bizarre conversation with me. This is the fourth time I have performed in Noida, and I must say, yahan ki audience itni encouraging aur engaging hai ki ek-do dialogue toh main bhool hi gayi."Varinder Saini and Guncha in a scene from ' How To Be A Casanova Kanu Priya, the director of the play, said, "For me, one of the challenges was adapting and contemporarising stories of Anton Chekhov, the master of short stories of the late 19th century, to suit the tastes of the modern audience. Most plays of that time portray women as an object of ridicule and sexism was rampant in those times. However, I decided to bring an all-women cast for this adaptation and tone down the sexist remarks from the original play, to make it light and humourous."The group performed a second play as well, titled, 'How To Be A Casanova', another Chekhov adaptation of the short story, ' The Seduction '. It presented a hilarious story of a casanova named Virat Ahuja, who uses his friend and husband of a beautiful girl to trap his wife. "Playing a casanova was a big challenge for me. I had to hold the audience's attention with my monologues. While preparing for this role, I browsed through several videos of how to hold a monologue, which helped me in voice modulation and attracting the audience. During the preparation, I felt that main Social Sciences ke exam ki tayari kar raha hun. I repeatedly kept revising my lines," says actor Shashank Bansal.Shashank Bansal and Guncha in a scene from 'How To Be A Casanova'Gunjan Shukla--Aditi.Pancholi@timesgroup.com
