Black flags kept aside but farmers plan a bigger stir

These groups also include those representing the farmers of a few villages where builders have acquired the land but compensation issues are pending.
Further, there are farmers of 60 villages affected by land acquisition by GNIDA.
The groups have now decided to jointly start a major agitation on July 23.
We raised the issues before the CM but were not satisfied with his response as he focused on industry and asked us to cooperate with the administration,” he said.Some farmers groups had earlier decided to waive black flags before the PM and South Korean President’s cavalcade to protest against the “fraudulent land acquisition” by the authorities.
“We decided not to protest on Monday at the CM’s insistence but since we are not satisfied, we will start an agitation soon along with all major farmer groups,” he said.Praveen Bhartiye of the Corruption Free India Force told TOI that the agitation will be initiated under the umbrella of Sanyunkta Kisan Adhikar Andolan.The groups are likely to march to the GNIDA office, raising their demands.
