Sources said boys — one of them as young as 12 — were beaten up two days ago at a mattress manufacturing unit in Loni area.Saukeen and three others have been named in an FIR registered at Loni police station. The owner, Raheeshu , could not be reached for a comment.The 12-year old boy seen in the video had apparently gone to the factory for the first time on Saturday. He can also be seen falling to the ground several times.The two boys were eventually rescued by a neighbour, who was alerted by their cries for help. Sources said the younger boy went home and narrated how he had been beaten up to his uncle with whom he had been living ever since the death of his father six years ago. According to his elder brother, Saukeen had followed him to the house and threatened him with dire consequences if the phone was not found.“My brother’s hands and legs were swollen. They had red marks all over them from the beating,” the elder brother said.Police had initially registered a non-cognizable offence report in the case, but after the purported video went viral on Monday and the matter reached SSP Vaibhav Krishna, the complaint was converted into an FIR and the accused were booked under sections 325, 504 of the IPC and the Juvenile Justice Act.Siddharth Modiyani, assistant labour commissioner, Ghaziabad, said a team would be sent soon to the factory to conduct an inspection.
