Class 9 girl goes ‘missing’, DJ booked for abduction

Now, her friends are telling us that a boy used to follow her,” she said.She claimed that her daughter is just over 17 years. “We lodged a complaint against the youth on July 3,” she said.Police, however, said the girl’s age is yet to be confirmed and they received a complaint from the family only on Thursday.“The girl is in touch with her parents through Facebook and has informed them that she got married to Gaurav. An FIR has been lodged against the youth, Gaurav, under IPC sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc).The girl’s mother Maya Devi said at 8.30 am on July 3, the girl went to her school to obtain a transfer certificate (TC).“I was not aware about her involvement with the youth. An FIR has been lodged as the girl’s parents insisted that she is a minor,” said Anil Shahi, the SHO of Sector 39 police station.The girl’s family have also sent a complaint to the National Commission For Women ( NCW ), Gautam Budh Nagar DM, DIG (Meerut) and UP chief minister stating that they have been frequently visiting Sector 39 police station since July 3 but to no avail.
