PVVNL has, in a letter to NMRC on Friday, said the metering system along with the installation of all equipment at the other substation in Sector 83 is complete.Praveen Kumar, executive engineer, division II, at PVVNL, said they had informed NMRC about the date so that they can make prior arrangements and be prepared for the metering.NMRC has set up two receiving sub-stations — in Sectors 153 and 83 and near the UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited’s (UPPTCL) grid substation in Sector 148 — which are helping in transmission of electricity.UPPTCL has already energised the sub-stations and 6MVA power supply is being provided to the Aqua Line as of now. But one of the feeders was left to be energised. NMRC has also directed Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation to conduct a detailed survey of the 21 metro stations along the Aqua Line and assess the number of metro feeder buses that would be required to ferry passengers to each of the stations.NMRC executive director PD Upadhyay said UPSRTC had been asked to conduct a fresh survey on the current footfall at these metro stations as the last detailed project report was prepared in 2014, when the project was approved. “We plan to run 28-seater non air-conditioned buses from each metro station to ensure the last mile connectivity for commuters. The order for the survey was approved on Thursday,” he said.
