Housing Board sends govt estimate for cave-in repair

Apart from that, Rs 1.5 crore will be used in the construction of the road adjacent to Vartalok and Pragya Kunj apartments,” said an official from the Housing Board.On the morning of July 26, incessant rain led to a massive cave in in Vasundhara 4 C area which created a 30-feet-deep and 20-feet-wide crater.Over 90 families living in Vartalok and Pragya Kunj apartments had to be evacuated as the cave-in had extended up to their societies. It took two days of non- stop work jointly carried out by the housing board, GMC and the administration to fill the trench.
