Altogether he had made four calls to the SSP and even sent a text message to him on one occasion seeking to know the progress made in the case.Verma told police that he had also worked in the administrative wing of an electronic media house in the past.Verma has been booked under sections 419 (cheating) and 170 (personating a public servant) of the IPC.

GHAZIABAD: A 38-year-old MBA graduate , who runs management coaching classes in Vijay Nagar, was arrested on Monday for allegedly posing as a joint secretary posted in the Union home ministry and mounting pressure on Ghaziabad SSP Vaibhav Krishna to take “swift” action in an FIR filed by his relative.Police said the accused wanted the cops to arrest seven persons, including two priests named by his wife, in a case of brawl.The alleged imposter has been identified as Anil Kumar Verma, a resident of Gokul Dham Society in Siddhartha Vihar.Police said Verma’s 28-year-old wife, who till recently worked in an MNC as a software engineer and is presently preparing for civil services exams, was getting disturbed in her studies by the loudspeakers used by a temple located in front of her house.She apparently tried to persuade the temple priests to lower the volume, nut failed.
