Art to adorn underpass at NTPC

The underpass is located on the crossing of Sector 25A, Sector 24, 33A, Sector 22 began in 2015. This will also be the first underpass in Noida to reflect artwork and wall paintings on a 90-metre stretch on each side. Rajeev Tyagi, general manager, Noida Authority, said that the scheduled date for completion is September 30. The project was supposed to be completed in December 2016.The Noida Authority said that over 95% construction work has been completed. The construction firm has been directed to complete the project work by the end of this month to ensure its inauguration on Gandhi Jayanti.

NOIDA: The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) underpass will be opened for public on October 2, providing a much-needed respite from traffic jams in the neighbourhood.Kalpavriksha paintings will also adorn the underpass on both sides and the artworks have already started.Kalpavriksha is believed to be a wishing tree in Hindu mythology. This will also be the first underpass in Noida to reflect artwork and wall paintings on a 90-metre stretch on each side. The underpass is located on the crossing of Sector 25A, Sector 24, 33A, Sector 22 began in 2015. The 640-metre underpass is being built at a cost of Rs 55 crore and will play a crucial role in facilitating traffic movement in the area.The Authority has not officially confirmed the inauguration date. Rajeev Tyagi, general manager, Noida Authority, said that the scheduled date for completion is September 30. He said the underpass will be inaugurated in the first week of October.
