Ghaziabad: The administration has started an effort to remove encroachments from Arthala lake , but the task is not easy as these are residential houses, district magistrate Ritu Maheshwari said on Thursday.Last month, the National Green Tribunal had directed the district administration to remove all encroachments around Arthala lake within three months. “The encroachments around the waterbodies and specifically around Arthla are houses where people stay. If the authorities are going to remove these encroachers, then why a fresh initiative being made to help these people settle?” asked Akash Vashishtha from Spenbio an, NGO.
